Kanneganti Bhargav Kumar is a PhD student ( supported by the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship(PMRF)) in the Department of Civil Engineering at IISc. He is interested in hydrological extremes like floods and changes in water resources. He develops methods for assessing flood hazards by combining multivariate statistical techniques with process knowledge. He also studies how climate and human activities affect the extremes. He holds a Master’s degree (MTech) in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati.
